Running is Always the Answer
When will I get that through my head? I read a lovely article last week (did I already mention this?) about how for ‘runners,’ running is always the right thing to do: regardless of if you are tired or have had a bad day, etc., though you might try and talk yourself out of it, after you have run, you never regret it. It’s so true! So many times I tell myself, ‘it’s too hot… my stomach hurts… I’m tired…’ like I did today. But lo and behold, I went to track club, and presto-changeo! I’m not tired, my stomach is fine, and it wasn’t too warm after all! Perhaps I have energy, now, to get through the rest of the evening.
It was a busy weekend in St. Louis, and we just arrived home this afternoon. My diet was awful, and I didn’t get enough sleep. At least we did a lot of walking at the zoo.
Back to the grind now with an interview in the morning and shows coming up!

Amen Lacey! I have never regretted a run. I can’t even count all the times I’ve felt like total crap and still decided to drag my ass outside for a run and ended up have a great experience in the end. My mantra on crappy days is “A runner runs”. Yup, that’s what we do.
Out of curiosity, where did you read that article?

Daynise - For Review Magazine! The article will be published in the August issue.
Wildwoodsflower - I don’t have time to look it up right now, but I found the article on a website that I found near the top of a Google search for run St. Louis. If I get a chance in the next couple days, I’ll see if I can dig it up.
