Tested the breathing capability waters with a short walk last night.

I did a little bit of everything at the gym this morning, and that includes running! As my PT instructed, I am going to take it easy as I try to get back into it. If there is no soreness tomorrow, I will do another 1 mile on the treadmill on Monday. From there if everything is OK, I will slowly add 1/2 mile and/or running outside. I must admit that I am a little nervous about it because I worry that the soreness will quickly return, so I’m going to try to just sneak back into the distance with easy effort.
So, the workout went like this: 5 minutes on the bike to warm up, followed by 5 minutes of stretching. I did the hip machine, squat rows, balance exercises, and hamstring curls before hopping on the treadmill for a one mile run. I eased out of the run by walking an additional 4 minutes before heading back to the weights for curls, leg and calf presses. After some stretching, we grabbed some bagels and headed home!
